HORMUZ BLOCKADE NIGHTMARE
In this interview with Daniel Davis, I examine the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the loss of up to 20M barrels per day of oil from the global market, and the global economic consequences.
Although this interview was recorded on 14 April 2026, I believe the analysis is still relevant, possibly even more so if my thinking is correct.
The consequences of the closure have not yet arrived in our economies, largely due to the lag in the international oil system. But they are coming. I expect to see this from July 2026 onwards, but will be updating the forecast during this month.
